Purpose of government
“All power is inherent in the people. All free governments are instituted by their authority and for their benefit.”
Article 1, Constitution of Liberia, 1986

Government holds and spends this money on the people’s authority, and for their benefit. That makes it YOUR MONEY. This platform does one thing with that principle: it checks it against the published record, and shows you the document behind every check.

Everything here comes from records the government already published

Where does YOUR MONEY go?

Liberia’s budget belongs to the people who paid for it. This site puts the numbers in plain language, shows the document each one came from, and says plainly when something has never been published at all.
